This is what we do in our spare time....

We have started to prep "The Leg" for this year's rally, Czech Wrecks, held in August. We will again be raising money for the MND association, and hopefully we will smash last years £6,000 record.

As we like bodging things, we aren't doing this properly, and instead of sending the car to a paint shop (for she will be in a secret, but well known livery in time for the rally...), we are literally stripping off the glitter, araldite, paint and old primer on the motor with wire brushes attached to angle grinders and drills. Yep.

We have uncovered a fair few holes and bits of the car which appear to be made from Polyfiller......but hey - it's fun!

Kristian looking like he wouldn't be out of place in a Saw film.
You can see in quite good detail here where the drill has eaten away at the glitter, and leaves the araldite (quite thick and white now it has been disturbed). Finally the lovely silver finish. We best not leave it in the rain.
The angle grinder that Alex is using is much quicker but errr....far less accurate?
We're getting there!
