"MacKing is truly inspirational" says top UK charity

Here at MacKing, we are thrilled to work with some of the leading charities in the UK. Alex, MacKing Director, is very passionate about the prevention of Motor Neurone Disease and we have made it our mission to raise as much money as possible for the MND Association.

MND Association Reading and West Berks publicity officer Jane Gilbert wrote:

Truly Inspirational - that's how one charity has described MacKing's fantastic fundraising efforts this year.

Directors Calum and Alex's epic adventure to Naples in a clapped out 1981 Lancia Beta has made a real difference to people in Berkshire living with Motor Neurone Disease.

The pair's awesome journey raised an incredible £6,000 for the charity.

Jan Gryglaszewska, who visits people in Berkshire living with MND on behalf of the charity, described MacKing's fundraising support as "truly inspirational".

She said: "We are very pleased to  be involved with you and your business and we feel privileged that you have chosen the local  branch of the MND Association to benefit from your fantastic efforts in both fund raising and awareness raising.

"Both are 'key' to enable us to continue to support local people who are living with this awful condition and to raise the profile of the disease so that better funding is provided from central government both for care and research work to help scientists find a cure.
You are truly inspirational."

MacKing's generous donation is being spent directly on helping to support Berkshire people with financial assistance on a case by case basis. The charity helps with the cost of specialist equipment not provided by social services such as stairlifts, adaptations to homes to make them wheelchair accessible, special lavatories, communication aids for people who have lost their speech, complementary therapies for carers.

People with MND do not have time to wait months for equipment as the disease often progresses very rapidly - here the Reading and West Berkshire branch of the MND Association can respond quickly to help and improve their quality of life.

MacKing has truly made a difference to people living with MND in Berkshire.
